 St. Joseph School is a Catholic parish school located in Auburn, California. We serve students from pre-school to grade 8.St. Joseph School, established in 1943, is an educational ministry of St. Joseph and St. Teresa Parishes of Auburn.

The student population is a reflection of the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of the area which is enriched by the school's commitment to excellence in all areas.

Notes From the Principal's Desk

The Canticle of Mary And Mary Said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. ..." - Luke 1:46-47

The year is winding down, as the work of some of our committees is finalized. This year, a Strategic Planning Committee was formulated to develop a five year plan for the school, along with specific, measurable objectives to be actualized during the 2009-2010 school year. A special “thank you” to the parents, teachers, and parish members of both St. Teresa Avila and St. Joseph. The committee’s examination and contemplation will help steer the CSAC in providing a blueprint for the school.

The school is beginning plans for the next leg of the strategic planning process:  communication. We need individuals with experience in layout, design, web site design, photography, editing, etc. This group will meet five or six times during the coming school year to develop a platform to improve communication throughout the school community. Please consider sharing your gifts to the improvement of the school. Please contact the office before June 30th if you are even slightly interested.

Special congratulations to our soon-to-be-published authors! Thirteen students in grades three through eight have been selected in a national poetry contest to have their works published. Excellent work students!
